Abstract

A one paragraph quick summary of the paper goes here. It’s not an introduction

to the topic, it’s a summary of the whole paper. EX: This paper will analyze obesity in America. It will start by giving an introduction to the obesity problem. Next, the paper will research the latest demographics and trends in obesity. The paper will then focus on obesity issues related to different age groups. The researcher found that administrators play a larger role than expected when dealing with obesity. The paper will conclude by examining current best practices for healthcare administrators.

Obesity in America

Note this paper is only for how to set up a paper, it’s not an example of what you need to do to write a paper. Your paper should always follow APA format. NOTE ALL new paragraphs are indented five spaces on the first line. This sample is the layout and format and reference format needed to be cited properly in the body (WHO, 2014). Do not simply list out a website (www.cdc.gov/saftey) for example is NOT correct. This section is your introduction and you should always make sure to give an introduction with a basic overview of your topic.

In this area, you will give a background and introduction to the topic. You should provide several paragraphs discussing the issue, how the issue came about or evolved and what key data, demographics and/or statistics are relevant. For example if you are doing a project on long term care you may give a brief background in one paragraph and then in the next few paragraphs you would discuss the key data, such as the aging population.

Key Issues

Write about the key issues and specific areas you will analyze for the paper and then cover some of the topics that you discuss.
Issues in Teenage Obesity

Throughout the rest of the paper you will use headings such as the one above to organize your paper. Throughout you will start with the main issues and discuss key information. Make sure you apply it to health care, always be ready to discuss the impact the issue has on health care.

Issues in Adult Obesity

This is an example of how to write it out. Adult obesity is much like teen obesity but it can be tougher to treat according to a study by Dr. Jerald Smith of the University of Florida (Smith, 2010). In fact Smith (2010), states that adults are less likely to lose weight once they reach obesity vs. teens.

Recommendations

Using concepts you discussed in the rest of the paper, you may want to provide recommendations for the future. Make sure to use evidence-based literature and published best practices to create recommendations that are insightful and look to the future.

Conclusion

Your paper should have always end with a conclusion. Here you will tie together the key concepts discussed and discuss any assumptions such as barriers, success rates or other pertinent information. Bottom line – summarize it all here. SCROLL DOWN TO SEE REFERENCE PAGE.
