Description / Requirements The Learning Journal provides a medium through which you can build yo ur knowledge about branding. We will be using the monograph Lee et al., journal articles, videos, cases or topical (news) items as a basis to start our discussion every week. From these assigned weekly readings, questions will be raised, as outlined in the course navigator. Your Learning Journal will address these questions. In answering these questions, you will include reflections and discussions about weekly assigned readings and other material, by relating the theory of branding to practice. You are enc ouraged to apply your thoughts to your work, life, or career. Word limit for this assessment item is 2000 words. Learning Journal discussion questions are included in each week – from Week 1 to Week 11 (see Unit Outline Planner). You will answer Learning Journal Questions for 5 weeks out of the 11 weeks, as follows: Week 1 to Week 6 Week 7 to Week 11 Choose Learning Journal questions for 3 out of these 6 weeks. Answer all Learning Journal Questions given for the 3 weeks you chose. (1200 words approx.) Choose Learning Journal questions for 2 out of these 5 weeks. Answer all Learning Journal Questions given for these 2 weeks you chose. (800 words approx.) In submitting your Learning Journal, you must have it in chronological order – that is, Week 1 answers come before Week 2 answers, and also clearly mention the weeks that your Learning Journal answers relate to. Failure to do so will result in very low mark. We will mark your Learning Journal according to our ability to understand your notes. This means that you should work hard on formatting, language and presentation to make your notes easy to read and understand. We will also upload a “marking rubric” for this Assessment Item on Cloud Deakin. For line -spacing, use double -space. Use Calibri, size 12 font with 1 inch margins on each side of the page. Submission Instructions Submit this assessment through Assessment 2 Dropbox on Cloud Deakin. You must keep a backup copy of every assignment you submit, until the marked assignment has been returned to you. In the unlikely event that one of your assignments is misplaced, you will need to submit your backup copy. There are a number of tools that you can use to build a portfolio. You are provided with cloud space through OneDrive, or through the Portfolio tool in the Cloud Unit Site, but you can use any storage repository system that you like. Remember th at a Portfolio is YOUR tool. You should be able to store your assessment work, reflections, achievements and artefacts in YOUR Portfolio.

Once you have completed this assessment piece, add it to your personal Portfolio to use and showcase your learning lat er, when applying for jobs, or further studies. Curate your work by adding meaningful tags to your artefacts that describe what the artefact represents. Page 3 of 3
