Accomplishing critical tasks associated with equity and social justice requires carefully looking at our personal biases and learn ing strategies that help us overcome these biases. This Assessment is a Performance Task in which you will explore your own biases and how your personal lens can potentially impact your interactions with others. You will develop classroom and organizat ional strategies for addressing bias and supporting equity. In addition, you will explore the potential benefits of these efforts on young children and their families. In addition, you will take on the role of an early childhood educator at Madison Place Preschool who is working to address issues related to access, equity, and positive change, both in your classroom and at Madison Place Preschool.
