Task Title:

Assessment 3- Group Poster Presentation

Task Description:

In a group you will create a poster presentation and present it. You will describe and discuss a current trend in the UAE using the following questions and model poster (attached).

  1. Describe the trend.

  2. What evidence is there of this trend?

  3. What has caused it?

  4. What are the impacts on society of the trend?

Special Instructions:

In your presentation you need to include concepts covered on the course:

  • trends

  • events

  • drivers such as Point of Manifestation/STEEP categories

  • Point of Origin (changes in people’s values, wants, and desires)

  • Point of Impact

  • Causal Layered Analysis

You need to show what these concepts mean and how you can apply them to describing your trend.

Students will receive a group grade for the poster only (visual).

Each student is graded individually for their contribution in the presentation and should speak for an equal amount of time.

Your poster should only contain brief bullet points. Explanations and examples should be given orally by students while they are delivering their part of the presentation.

Students should practice their presentation with their group and avoid reading directly from the poster because this will negatively impact their individual grade.
