Child labor in Nepal

The articles I selected talks about child labor. According to the source, child labor in Nepal is just like in any other place in the world. For instance, children work even in hazardous conditions only to provide for their families and don't go to school. Some also don't complete their "primary" due to poverty. The kids find themselves in this situation because of being neglected by their parents, in some cases, due to the unsatisfactory conditions of their region. The people to blame are their bosses who employ children under the age of 14 years, particularly in rural areas. Additionally, employers take advantage of these children due to cheap salaries. They don't care about the harmful conditions of the work, which can affect the children’s mental, moral, physical, or even spiritual states. Also, the government of Nepal doesn’t protect the rights of child labor, which was signed in to the UN child right’s convection in 1990. It’s upon the government of Nepal to act as soon as possible to fight this “slavery” of child labor by the end of this year according to its National Master plan otherwise the job will continue ("Child Labor In Nepal (ILO In Nepal)")

Child labor in Africa

Africa is the leading continent in child labor. Africa is known for its agricultural products worldwide, and therefore children have employed here as farmworkers against children's rights. Ending child labor needs a multifaceted response, which will address the assortment of forces in economic, legal, cultural, and social whereby contribute to personal exposure and enable abuses. Education in Africa is low, and policies should focus on it as the priority to end child labor. There should be free education all over Africa. Agriculture must be emphasized in regional policy priorities, which should emerge from global estimates body. Also, there should be strong legislation and enforcement in the continent. In this evaluation, the African government should come together and find a way to diminish this act of child labor; otherwise, Africa will never develop like other developed continents. Parent are the first people to act as soon as possible to help their children not to be employed while young even if there is poverty ("Child Labor in Africa")

Comparison

Both Nepal and Africa suffer from poverty leading to child labor and have high cases of child labor of the same age. The parent and governments of both regions should help diminish the child labor supported by the International Labor Organizations (ILO), which has a mission to promote the enlightened elimination of child labor having priority given to the worst forms. There should be free education being the priority of all the parties (parents, governments, and ILO).

Differences

Nepal is in South Asia, and Africa is a continent that is the leading region with child labor. Nepal is in Asian countries where many have developed but African countries and still developing. Additionally, the government of Nepal is acting to have fought child labor by the end of this year, while Africa is far behind ten years (Vision 2030).
