I used alignment, color. The alignment I used, to make my design look cleaner. "This is a popular choice for newspapers because it can make a largeamount of text appear neat and orderly." (Arola, Sheppard, and Ball 95)The orderly arrangement helps the reader to read and obtain the information in it. Also, the related colors for special pages, for example, use cool colors and objective and calm statements when referring to some information. Some other themed colors may appeal to the audience's vision and emotion. I selected the picture that matched the text and aligned it with the text. I think the better association of information and pictures can help readers read. The audience of this speech is the leadership or members of Worldshare. The organization is a non-profit organization centered on human rights, so I do more analysis on human rights and public welfare behaviors. Focusing on the aspects that the audience cares about can help the audience understand and find answers to their questions. In this process, I found that turning information into a visual presentation format can better highlight the ideas and content that I want to express. Visual presentation can omit some unnecessary text and put key content. This allows readers and followers to understand the content faster and better.

  • What design elements did you end up using?

I ended up using a  compare and contrast presentation to complete this project. I wanted to use a simple presentation with colors that pop to make the project catch your attention.

  • How did you balance those elements out to create a convincing argument?

I used visual colors to draw the audience in, organization to help with the flow, and compare and contrast to show the similarities and differences between the companies.

  • How were these elements targeting a specific audience?

I believe since the audience is WorldShare, I wanted the presentation simple enough to follow, but yet catchy to the eye. Because of the organization I used, it would be easier for to  grab a larger audiences attention and they could easily follow along with the presentation.

  • What did you learn from this process? How does the media you used use rhetorical appeals differently?

I learned that visualization helps to teach someone new subjects. It is very easy to get lost reading an essay since it is all words and not much structure, like bullet points. A visual presentation will help you learn more since humans are visual creatures.

Just a note: I originally had researched Sony and ended up keeping Sony over LG  Electronics because Sony is a better company. You might see that I mentioned that WorldShare is debating on Sony vs. LG.
