Performance Analysis

Performance analysis is the technique used to compare a specific situation's performance and the expected outcome (Williams, 2018). It can be used in a school setting to review educator’s contribution towards promoting learning among students. Performance analysis enables the school administration to plan the necessary arrangements needed to improve the teachers’ performance. It is an important tool in monitoring the skills, strengths, and weaknesses of the employed teachers. How? The technique creates a record of accounts that identify the hardworking educators who are rewarded. The use of rewards acts as a motivation tool for them to provide quality services to their students, with minimum close supervision from the leadership team. The teachers who contribute less towards improving student performance are alerted and asked to improve their skills. How is this monitoring kept up with during the school year? The school administration can offer training programs to such teachers to improve their performance on their respective assigned tasks. (deleted the rest as you kind of said it all already in the intro). What are some examples of what performance analysis looks like? How is this data collected?

Nature of the content

This section should be specific on how you determined the content that needs to be taught in this lesson…is there a specific gap?

The second instruction of the paper was to “Describe a few steps you would use to conduct a needs assessment to determine what the needs of the model, content, and audience are, and the best methods for teaching it. Make sure you start with how you would conduct this assessment first. Question teachers? Parents? Principal?

Then When I look below at your goal, it looks like you want to create a lesson for teachers that covers:

  1. Dealing with parents and documentation

  2. Best instruction and student guidance techniques for poor performing students

So for this to make sense, I need to see how you got to these goals… what makes you think there are issues (look at the needs assessment)…how do you know this is a problem? What are some reasons why this problem is happening, we need to talk about this first so that later, your lesson plan makes sense for how to overcome the issues.

After the performance assessment is completed, and gaps are determined to focus the lesson on, appropriate models and strategies for content delivery are selected.

Step 1: Why are teachers struggling with communication to parents? What is happening and What are the best methods for providing them policy and practice in dealing with these issues when they come up?

Step 2: Why are teachers struggling with best instruction and guidance for poor performing students? What is happening? Educators should be selective in the models they use to ensure maximum delivery of the content and also proper understanding by the learners. Some students have unpleasant attitudes and behaviors during the delivery of the content by teachers. They show apathy, tardiness, and disrespect to teachers to the extent of skiving classes at their own will, which can also demotivate teachers and make them feel unable to provide support. The selected instruction model used in the lesson should help teachers promote a positive attitude toward class attendance and concentration. The existing individual differences among learners make it challenging to ensure that no child is left behind during content delivery. Each learner has a specific level of intelligence (and experience or motivation); hence some understand the concept faster than others. The lesson should give teachers practice in how to re-teach and to preparing quality content for the students using their differentiated learning needs. From the needs assessment, educators also find it challenging to keep up with the expectations of school administrators, so through this lesson, teachers will have a better understanding of expectations in dealing with parents, and how to document these interactions.

Please look very carefully at what I am suggesting you do in this section and how it sets up justification for the lesson you will create later.

Reasons for Unsuccessful Learning in a Classroom Setting

A lesson for educators on these issues would play a significant role in providing more successful delivery of content and communication while teaching. Lack of establishing a positive classroom environment would be one reason why the content is not being taught successfully. Teacher training institutions emphasize creating a positive classroom environment that demands a teacher to accept individual differences among learners. The teacher can also establish favorable classroom rules and procedures that promote a positive relationship among learners and teachers. The maintenance of student attendance during the delivery of the content is needed (Kapalka, 2017). Also, a teacher can use various instructional methods to reduce the boredom that leads to loss of attention during content delivery. Educators are also expected to begin lessons by giving clear instructions. The class should be built upon the prior student knowledge to encourage the learners to be active participants in the classroom. The experts recommend using appropriate pacing to identify learners, becoming confused, bored, or restless quickly. However, before the end of the study, the teacher can evaluate whether learning has been achieved by asking questions. The failure to adopt the strategies would have resulted in the unsuccessful delivery of the content to the learners. In the training lesson, teachers should learn and practice some of these skills.

Instructional Goals

An instructional goal is a clear statement of observable behaviors that employees in an organization are expected to demonstrate due to their respective training and instruction programs (Jang, 2019). From the needs assessment conducted, an instructional goal is for learners to apply compassion skills to handle irritable parent phone calls. Also, the learners will acquire motivational and instructional strategies to deal with challenging students. The outcomes of this goal being met is to reduce parents’ complaints from poor learning, increase parent satisfaction reports, and documenting communication appropriately.

Instructional Objectives

Instructional objectives build off of the goals, and specify HOW learners will meet the goal from the lesson.

Goal 1: Learners will apply compassion skills when dealing with irritable parent phone calls…

Objective: HOW will you teach this in the lesson?

There should be an objective for using compassion on phone calls

There should be an objective for appropriately documenting phone calls

Goal 2: Learners will learn better motivational and instructional strategies to deal with challenging students.

Objective: HOW will you teach this in the lesson you are going to create?

There should be an objective on learning some motivational tactics

There should be an objective on better instructional tactics to differentiate

Conclusion

The paper has broad information associated with a school and classroom setting. The success of a school performance depends on the teachers’ morale to work as well as the students’ high willing power to score excellent grades. Therefore, any school administration ought to adopt strategies that motivate teachers to work under minimum supervision, such as using rewards and providing training programs to help them. Teachers can learn from the paper about what to do to ensure they successfully deliver content to learners. The points mentioned in the body of the research paper promote learning. Indeed, it was research that covers a wide range of knowledgeable content.
