Introduction

In this fast-paced world, if you do not have a personal mode of transportation, managing lives can be hectic. Finding a more accessible and reliable method of transportation could make our life easier. On the other hand, purchasing a vehicle is one of the most important investments a person will ever make; therefore, your vehicle is not just a vehicle. In most cases, cars could be an asset to get their hands on some cash; you can sell and use the money for something useful. On the other hand, time is the core of modern life; time and tide wait for none. Besides, since internet connection has affected the entire world and also has brought us forward as humanity, connecting everyone through real-time information is one of the major drivers pushing us towards creating one planetary civilization.

Our Services

All in all, based on these concepts, we built up the foundation of our idea to solve a significant problem in the used car industry. The name of our company is Trust'N'Ride, which offers the easiest, quickest, and best way to sell a car at a fair price. We will help customers do not waste their worthy time with advertising their vehicles and avoid huddling and other hassles. Trust'N'Ride focuses on a convenient, new, and safe way of selling used cars by providing free car valuation service regardless of the model to determine the best and fair used car price. Through our platform, we provide free car evaluation, deregistration services, part exchange along with a settlement of bank mortgages and loans. Trust'N'Ride motto is quick, easy, fare, everywhere.

This proposal will provide information about our service and target country; in the following, we examine the marketing mix for positioning our services; we feel that our company is uniquely positioned to profit from changes in this industry and can continue to leverage the expertise we have gained into higher levels of profit and customer satisfaction.

Problem Statement

  • No established platform for buying and selling cars of cars

  • Must visit multiple dealers to get the best deal physically

  • Dealers charge a lot for evaluation of the car

  • A used car doesn't come with its condition certification

Initiation of Trust'N'Ride

About 73 percent of the people in Canada owns a car. There is only a section of this population that owns a brand-new car. Others prefer to buy a refurbished car at a fair price. Owing to this situation, these refurbished car users have to look for cars to buy either on Kijiji, Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace. However, these platforms are not specialized or focused on buying or selling of cars, since they have other category products on their portal as well. No fully established platform only concentrating on the buying and selling of cars is readily available for customers. In such a scenario, the Buyer or the Seller has to visit multiple dealers in person to get a fair value. This causes waste-age of time, energy, and other resources. Hence, It is the need of the hour to introduce a fully established platform (website/app) that specifically only deals with Buying and Selling of used cars. Therefore, with Trust'N'Ride, we provide;

Target Country

This marketing proposal shall focus on providing a reliable car sales service to the eligible customers within the Canadian market. The request shall concentrate on the used car industry where we shall provide a platform called Trust'N'Ride that shall enable the consumers to sell and get their money's worth for their used cars.

For the course of this marketing proposal, we have chosen Canada as our target market. The reason behind our selection of Canada as the target market is one that is segmented into organized and unorganized markets. We consider the Indian market as a ripe market with good potential for the Trust'N'Ride used car sales service.

Canada is chosen as a good market for the sales of used cars based on the reasons discussed below;

  • We believe that taking Trust'N'Ride into the Canadian market will give the company the opportunity to create a positioning for our services in the mind of the customers and build our market share in the market share available in the country.

  • Canada is a large market with competitors in the used car market, and these already existing competitors will encourage our company to come into the market with new strategies to enable the company to have a competitive advantage over the services our competitors are providing.

  • The Canadian used car market is set to add half a million dollars more in sales in the next three to five years (Bickis, 2018). Considering this reason, we decided to take Trust'N'Ride into the Canadian market as we have seen the market as a market with a huge potential for growth and profitability in the long run.

  • The Canadian market would provide Trust'N'Ride with the opportunity to create a niche market where the company can settle in, build, and grow in its business operations.

Marketing Mix

Trust 'N' Ride is a new market that intends to make the car selling process easy for any seller around the country. There are several competitors within the market, which means that a unique market approach must be used so that to gain control over the market. Our uniqueness is that the customer will be given a dedicated expertise associate from "CAR EVALUATION TO PURCHASING IT" along with the COVID-19 Pandemic in mind. We will be launching this facility Virtually as well, Which means that our customers can enjoy all the services from "CAR EVALUATION TO PURCHASING IT" from the comfort of their home. The following 4P strategy will be employed by the company so, that to venture into the market. (The Economic Times, 2020)

Product: The first name of the company is "Trust." This means that the management should take all the necessary steps so that to ensure that the clients trust the services being offered by the company. They must feel that they are transacting with an open group. This can be achieved by ensuring that the company has set up a proper infrastructure that attracts the attention of any potential seller.

Price: The Company should ensure that the price at which it is purchasing the product is slightly better than that of the competitors. This can come in at the initial stages after launching its activities so that to attract a higher number of sellers.

Place: Car sellers will not be willing to travel for miles so that to have their car evaluated. That is why the company should set up several branches all over the country. (Shambler, 2016). This will encourage the sellers to visit the branches any time and also virtually followed by a dedicated Expert associate for evaluating their cars. The more they evaluate, the more they will feel the need to sell it.

Promotion: The main objective is to provide the easiest, quickest, and best way of selling the car. That is why the management should focus on training the employees on how to handle the clients as fast as possible without creating any misunderstanding. The client should always feel that Trust 'N' Ride cares about their welfare when it comes to selling their cars.
