    1. Fred Hampton was an American activist and revolutionary socialist, where he was a member of the Black Panther Movement and an active member of the NAACP. He was a remarkable leader within the Chicago area for African Americans (Flood, 2014, p. 38).

    1. Equal Rights for African Americans in Chicago

      1. Fred Hampton provided equal education for African Americans in the Chicago area.

    2. He Stays focused on the mission.

      1. Fred Hampton stayed focused on his mission to provide equal rights for African Americans by helping students unite from various backgrounds and races to end segregation in the Chicago area.

    3. Create peace among rival groups in the Chicago area

      1. Fred Hampton could get local Chicago gangs to come together and put their differences to the stay and unite.

    4. Inspiring other leaders and other activists

      1. Within just 21 years, Fred Hampton was able to inspire many activists within the Chicago area. Fred Hampton's leadership, charisma, and more was a threat to many and the powers placed during that time (Flood, 2014, p. 38).

  1. Michelle Obama, First Lady of The United States of America, Author, and Activist

    1. Michelle Obama was an accomplished lawyer in the Chicago area before she married her husband, Barack Obama, and becoming the first lady of the united states from 2009-2017 (Kahl, 2009, p. 319).

    2. Michelle is the first African American first lady.

    1. Lead by example to reach goals

    2. Be personable and allow people to identify with Michelle Obama

    3. Be confident in promoting growth

    4. Always being compassionate and standing up for what you believe in and your values

  1. Leadership similarities between Mark & Sundar

    1. Both leaders inspire leaders and activists and always make sure to stand up for what they believe in by fighting for equality for African Americans and other social issues.

    2. When it comes to leadership, both approaches were based on uniting everyone together within the Chicago area—always demonstrating self-confidence as a leader and still speaking their mind for change.
