The Group project covers the following CLO’S:

CLO-4: Assess the practical implications of Strategic Human Resource Management in organizations








GROUP TASK:

The group must do a research on the below topic:

Compare and assess the Work-Life Balance Programs of Government Vs. Private organizations in UAE to improve the employee performance in organizations, and more importantly, the competencies that must be developed by future HRM practitioners with reference to the global context.

All HR professionals should be taking time to reflect on research and consider what they believe the future of the profession should look like. Work such as this will help HR professionals and their stakeholders to face the future, to define the next iteration of the profession and, crucially, create it together.


INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The groups are free to choose any SHRM practices and each group must choose different practice.

  • Work in individuals or groups to incorporate a research report

  • The Group will undertake research on the topic, using published materials and secondary data.

  • Undertake research into the problem, provide relevant analysis, and suggest potential solutions and recommendations.

  • A written report must be submitted on the due date as mentioned in the syllabus

  • Use APA style guidelines, citing references as appropriate.

  • Presentation: Each Group will be allocated 15-20-minutes presentation on their project. This should summarize the research, findings, conclusions, and recommendations outlined in their report

  • The student should consider the following elements when preparing the Term paper;

  • Suggested pattern of the Term paper:

  • Abstract

  • Introduction

  • Literature review

  • Research methodology

  • Analysis and discussion

  • Managerial implications

  • Conclusion and Scope for further research

  • Total marks: 35 (Term paper 25%, presentation10%)

  • Presentation: Each Group will be allocated a time to make a 15-20-minutes presentation on their Term paper. This should summarize the research, findings, conclusions, and recommendations outlined in their report. Every group member must participate.

  • Word count 2500 words (Pages single spaced) 5 pages (excluding abstract and references)

Important note:

  • A word about Plagiarism: This is a serious matter. Do not try to present someone else’s work as your own! The prescribed penalty is an F for the assignment. When you use a source other than yourself to write a paper, you must cite that source. Sources available on the Internet must also be cited, including the Web address of the site. If you take an original source and modify it to turn in as your own work, you are also guilty of plagiarism. Maximum plagiarism allowed is 15 percent.

  • A research question(s) and topics, and a plan for dividing the work among group members must be approved by the instructor.
