CITI Training Instructions ( Underg raduate Students) Step 1: Go on the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) website https://about.citiprogram.org/en/homepage/ Step 2: Log into your account if you already have one with CITI or click on register to make an account if you do not have one Click on “Register” to make an account Click on “Log In” if you already have an account Step 3: After clicking on register, enter and select “The University of Texas of the Permian Basin” in the “Select Your Organization Affiliation” box Step 4: Click on the two check boxes above the “Continue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password” box to agree Step 5: Click on “Conti nue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password” to continue making your account 1. Enter and select “The University of Texas of the Permian Basin” 2. Click both check boxes to agree 3. Click on “Continue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password” Step 6: Fill out the “Personal Information” box with your name and primary email address Step 7: Click on the “Continue to Step 3” box to continue to the next step 3. Click on the “Continue to Step 3” box 2. Enter in your first and last name 1. Enter in and verify your email address Step 8: Create a user name and password Step 9: Select a security question and answer the security question Step 10: Click on the “Continue to Step 4” box to continue to the next step 4. Click on the “Continue to Step 4” box 1. Create user name 3. Create and verify password 2. Select a security question and answer the question Step 11: Enter and select “United States” in the “Country of Residence” box Step 12: Click on the “Continue to Step 5” box to continue to the next step 2. Click on the “Continue to Step 5” box 1. Enter and select “United States” Step 13: If you are interested in receiving Continuing Education Unit credit, then click “Yes” and choose the type of credit you would like to earn. If you are NOT interested, then click “No” Step 14: If you want CITI Program to contact you at a later date regarding participation in research surveys, then click “Yes”. If you are NOT interested, then click “No” Step 15: If you want CITI Program to contact yo u at a later date with marketing information, then click “Yes”. If you are NOT interested, then click “No” Step 16: Click on the “Continue to Step 6” box to continue to the next step Click on the “Continue to Step 6” box Step 17: Choose your language preference Step 18: Enter your school email address in the “Institutional Email Address” box Step 19: Enter the department that you are in in the “Department” box (ex. Psychology students would enter Psychology) Step 20: Select “Student Res earcher - Underg raduate level” for the “Role in Research” box Step 21: Click on the “Continue to Step 7” box to continue to the next step Click on the “Continue to Step 7” box Step 22: Click on “Social & Behavioral Research Investigators” for Question 1 Step 23: If you are interested in enrolling in the courses for Questions 2 -7, then you can choose the sections/courses that you want to be enrolled in. If you are not interested, then choose the option that you are not interested in enrolling t he course at the time Step 2 4: Once you finish answering all 7 questions, then click on “Complete Registration” Step 25: Click on “Finalize Registration” Step 26: Find “The University of Texas of the Permian Basin” and click on “View Courses” Step 27: Find the course named “Group 2: Social & Behavioral Research” and click on “Start Now” Step 28: Click the check box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy and Cookie Policy Step 29: Click on “Submit" 1. Click on the check box to agree 2. Click on “Submit” Step 30: Under “Required Modules”, click on “Start” to begin the modules. There are 15 required modules that you must complete Step 31: If you want to complete the “Supplemental Modules”, then you can but you are not required to Step 32: Once you complete all of the required modules, then click on “View/Print” for the “Completion Report” Step 33: Click on the download icon to download the Completion Report Step 34: Click on “Save File” and click “OK” Step 35: Upload the saved document to Canvas
