You are asked to complete the human subjects research training and acquire the certificate through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) online. The training will help students understand the ethical issues and guidelines in conducting research.

Please follow the instructions in this PDF (CITI Training Instructions (Undergrad).pdf download ), complete the CITI training, and upload your Completion Report (NOT the Completion Certificate). An example of the report is shown on the last two pages of the PDF instructions.  

The information below is for students who have already completed the CITI training before. If you have not done the training before, just use the instructions in the PDF above; you don't need to go over the following information. 

For those who have already completed the CITI training before, you may upload the same Completion Report if the following conditions are met:

• your report/certification has not expired and will not expire by Friday, 8/13/2021; and
• the course you completed was the "Group 2: Social & Behavioral Research" course.

If the above conditions are met and you need to download your Completion Report (NOT the Completion Certificate) again, here are the steps to do so:

1. Go to the CITI training site: https://about.citiprogram.org/en/homepage/
2. Log in with the same username and password you used before for the training.
3. Find the "Group 2: Social & Behavioral Research" course you completed.
4. Click on "View - Print - Share Record" under the course.
5. Follow the last four steps of the PDF instructions (steps 32-35 on pages 20-22) to download and upload your Completion Report (NOT Certificate). 

If your current CITI report/certification does not meet the conditions specified above, log back in to the CITI training site (Links to an external site.) with the same username and password you used before for the CITI training, click "Add a Course," select the "Group 2: Social & Behavioral Research" course, and complete the training. Once you are done, download your Completion Report (steps shown in the PDF instructions) and submit it here.
