Another example of diction is “scorn” has a negative connotation and describes a strong negative emotion. The last example of diction is “importune” describes a strong emotion it means to beg.

-The words “fair” and “young” describes imagery of the author’s appearance, I can infer that she is young and attractive, the word fair has connotation of being graceful. “How many weeping eyes I made to pine in woe, how many sighing hearts I have not skill to show” these words show her emotions by using weeping and sighing.

-She included how she was young when everything in the poem happened. She also referred to Venus as an example.
