State Your Research Statement

This report will analyze the current strategic approaches that are being employed by Amazon so that to determine its future management sustainability.

What is the purpose of your survey?

To find out the different strategic options explored by Amazon in their daily work for them to be a leader in the online retail business.

Whom would you survey to find first-hand information concerning your research statement?

My survey group includes employees and a few verified customers as not everyone has done business with Amazon, hence the verification factor.

Why did you choose this group of people to focus on?

Despite top management being in charge of major decisions, there are the low-level employees responsible for dealing with customers who are an integral part of the business. Employee wellness determines the quality of services offered to customers, and employees are, therefore, the most significant part of the business.

What would you ask them about?

I would ask the employees the nature of their work environment, compensation for the work, and services rendered. Their mental health aspects will also be an issue of great concern.

For the customers, I would ask them the levels of service delivery right from order placement to order fulfillment. I will inquire if their deal fit and met the five Rs, the right quality, quantity, right place, right time, and the right price.

List at least three specific questions you would ask.

1. Do you, as an employee, like your job? Yes or No

2. Is your work environment healthy? Yes or No

3. Are you satisfied with the organization's culture? Yes or No

4. As a customer, is your experience in utilizing the company's services good? Yes or No

5. Would you shop again on the platform? Yes or No

What type of survey would you use? (phone, email, etc.) Why would you choose that type?

I would choose physical interrogation for the employees as it is easier to get to employees physically than acquiring their contacts.

Customers could be reached via email as they are not centralized in one place. Through the reviews on Amazon's social media channels, I could inbox or email them quickly.

What is the population for your survey?

My study population is employees of Amazon and its customers.

Why did you choose this population?

This population contains all the answers needed in this research which aims to look at management strategies that propel Amazon.

What is your sample size?

My study population is 50 individuals, 30 customers, and 20 employees.

Explain how your sample will be chosen.

My sample will be chosen randomly as not all involved individuals can participate in the study.

Explain how the term random is in relation to your survey.

Employees will be randomly picked from the premises in no particular order. There are many reviews on Amazon's socials; hence it will be impractical to engage every customer.

Will you need a mathematical formula to choose your sample? Why or why not?

No formula is needed in identifying the sample to be used in the study.

Is there a confidence level associated with your sample?

My confidence level is80 %. This translates to a 10% room for error.

How will your data be collected? Provide all necessary details.

Amazon employees will be interviewed physically, and I would set a meeting to interview a few at the premises or outside. The interview will be recorded for future references. Emails will be sent to customers, after which they will reply with their level of satisfaction and the probability of shopping again.

How will your data be analyzed? Why did you choose that format for analysis?

My method of data analysis is predictive since I will try to connect and link the answers to the questions to how the future will turn out for Amazon.

How will your data be interpreted? Will distribution and frequency tables and/or Chi-Square play a role in your analysis?

Data interpretation will be distribution and frequency tables as answers most questions will be yes or no basis.
