This assignment will give the student a batter understanding of how an advertising campaign is developed and implemented.

1. Research why Coca-Cola launched the new Coke Product in the 1980s. Present the rationale behind the move and what was the ultimate conclusion? What was the consumer reaction? How did Coca Cola ultimately handle the "fall out" from this campaign? Include at least 2 links to research that you used to compile your response.

2. Can we forgive and forget? Choose one of the following brands and describe the problem that was connected with the company, how did the problem play out and how did the company attempt to solve the  issue.  Tylenol (1982), Ford Pinto (1978), Vioxx (2004, Mattel (2007) Firestone (2000). Include at least two links to the research you used to compile your response.
