Answer code relevant questions at specific locations indicated on the plans. GENERAL SITE INFORMATION: Building Location: Kelowna , B.C. Climatic Data: As per Appendix C Frost Protection Depth 120 0mm Fire Department Response Time: 6 Minutes Soil: Silt with good soil drainage Concrete:  All concrete shall be 20 Mpa for footings, foundations and interior slabs.  All exterior concrete for sidewalks, driveway and garage slabs sh all be 32 Mpa.  Interior curb f oundations shall be maximum 150 mm wide.  Exterior foundation walls shall be 200mm thick unless otherwise required.  Footings shall be sized to Code requirements. Framing:  Sill plates shall be 38 x 89 mm.  Walls Exterior walls to be Code minimum. Interior load bearing walls to be Code minimum. All non -load bearing walls to be Code minimum.  Floors All floors shall be sized according to the question. Unlike common practice where depth of joist is usually uniform throughout the floor area, these questions are designed to give you exercise in sizing Code minimums .  Roof Engineered roof trusses spaced 24" o.c. and span from outside wall to outside wall. See Truss layouts.  Columns Exterior exposed columns at fron t of building shall be solid D. Fir 200mm x 200 mm timbers and all others, 140 mm x 140 mm timbers , unless otherwise required. Cladding :

 Horizontal hollow backed vinyl siding throughout exc ept for front gables to be cedar shingles.  Trim boards as indicated shall be 38 mm stock . Roofing: Asphalt Shingles Interior F inish: All walls and ceilings are painted 12.7 mm gypsum wall board. Floor F inishes:  Ceramic tile for all Bathrooms, Kit chen, Foyer and Laundry floor areas.  Carpet for all Bedrooms, Family Room, Den, Stairways and top floor Hallway.  Hardwood strip flooring for Livin g Room and Dining Room.
