FEEDBACK

Hello,

Thanks for sending that over. Here is your presentation stage and what you need to add (in red):

Together with the students loudly read the written sentences, e.g.

She was watching a movie when someone called her”. ‘Mom was serving food when father entered the house.”

Allow the students to discuss among themselves the verbs used in the sentences.

Introduce the past continuous: interrupted concept.

Now ask the sts to merk where the tense goes on a timeline that is on the board).

Concepts

  Past continuous: interrupted- describe an action that was happening in the past and then interrupted by another action

-       The tense is used to show an interruption of an unfinished action

-       It seems like using both a past tense and a past continuous tense by the use of conjunctions like “so” or “when”

Example:

She was watching a movie when someone called her.

Mom was serving food when father entered the house.

Using the form    Subject + was/were + verb-ing + when + second subject + past simple.

Reason: to teach the proper pronunciation while encouraging pupils to learn the meaning and structure of the TL.

Kind regards,

FEEDBACK 2: You don’t need to write a timeline for the plan, just ask the sts to mark it on one (that is prob drawn up on the board).

Just copy what I write in the previous email in red, and you will pass.

FEEDBACK 3: We have asked, right from the start, in every submission, for you to provide a timeline in the presentation stage.
