RUNNING HEAD: Classroom Management 1 Field Report # 2: Classroom Management Nataly Jasso Tarrant County College Classroom Management 2 The field study was performed in Blue Haze Elementary School, located in Forth Worth, Texas. Observations are made in the 3rd Grade class of Mrs. Weaver, who is managing her class full -time. Mrs. Weaver is responsible for balancing the educational content of the 3rd graders of her class together with the extra -curricular activities. She has complete control of what the students learn and how they can use it for th eir benefit in class. Physical Space Mrs. Weaver’s class is next to the fourth graders' classes and the staff offices, where they are required to perform their actions in the best way possible. The classroom has a working desk and other amenities, such as cardboard, where Mrs. Weaver can perform her tasks without going to the staffroom. There are charts all over the classroom wall to facilitate the learning process.

The graphs on the back wall of the class belong to the best drawings of the class students to act as motivation to work even more challenging. Other chart walls contain the new contents they have learned to bring a good atmosphere for the learning process. There are also two huge windows on both sides of the classroom to bring natural light and good views to the school. Discipline System Mrs. Weaver conducts a behavioral observation of all her class students to determine the best ways to handle them and the teaching methods. There are less than thirty students; hence, Mrs. Weaver can discover th e strengths and weaknesses of various students. Mrs. Weaver has mainly used the charts on the wall to create a highly motivating classroom environment where their mood is directed toward their success. Some routine activities and timetables are mostly for third graders. The students have been allocated three breaks and a lunchtime break, similar to the whole school. Students are expected to follow the activities and studies assigned to them for high Classroom Management 3 performance. Each student has a working desk and a chair w here they perform their studies and other class activities. Routines and Procedures Mrs. Weaver has her way of managing her class uniquely. The teacher ensures that all her students perform better in class work and extra curricula activities. Mrs. Weaver has all the students' physical and health conditions to guide her on how to treat them and arrange them during group discussions. A standard routine has been created to ensure that all students are adapted to all the learning activities. Practical lessons have been incorporated with theoretical studies to balance the learning activities that have been placed. Games time has been set daily at the end of all the tasks to allow the students also to take part in physical activities to promote talents that the students have. Mrs. Weaver also has a unique way of teaching since she wears specific clothe when teaching a particular subject to train the mind of the students to be prepared for a detailed lesson and be alert. Impressions Mrs. Weaver efficiently manage s the class by allowing the students to participate in decision -making. The students are also entitled to different roles to make them responsible for the actions that they are taking. Mrs. Weaver has adopted a teaching method that gives a chance to every student to learn uniformly, making the students provide their best grades in the final exams. The teacher also motivates the students by giving them a challenge and a motivational quote every morning before they start their day.
