Part 1: You will formulate questions for different attitude components and will create questions using different types of response scales.

Q#1. Some survey questions ask demographic information for purposes of market segmentation.

Create a demographic question with a categorical answer scale.


Q#2. The first type of attitudinal question focuses on the cognitive component of the respondent’s attitude. One type of cognitive question is an attribute importance question. This question asks the respondent to indicate how much they care about each attribute in a product.

Create an attribute importance question with an ordinal answer scale.

Q#3. Another type of attitudinal question focuses on the affective component of the respondent’s attitude. One type of affective question asks the respondent how much they like a particular product.

Create a liking question with a numeric answer scale.

Q#4. The last type of attitudinal question focuses on the behavioral component of the respondent’s attitude.

Create a behavioral intention question with a numeric answer scale.

Part 2: In the following section, you will see six survey questions. Pick at least four questions (of 6 questions) to state at least one improvement. For each area of improvement, specify the solution to improve the questionnaire.
