  1. Determine the FTE based on the information provided.

  1. Use the Chart for Computing School Revenue and FEFP manual

  2. Use the attached Excel Spread Sheet and related colored information Tabs

  1. Create a name for your school.

  2. Once you determine the amount of money that you will receive based on your calculated budget from FTE, you need to purchase personnel/supplies/other.
    a. Balance to “0”. (See Page 3 - Reference the Prototype School Average Salary Worksheet for positions and salaries.)

  3. Consider the vision and mission of the school.

  4. What programs will be offered?

  5. Do you need additional teachers/personnel?

  6. What are the class size requirements that would suit the needs of your school?

  7. Do you need instructional support?

  8. Do you need money for supplies? If so, how much?

  9. Discuss and explain your school, budget, and rationale for the choices in personnel and other expenditures.
