Reflection: In 250-500 words, address the following.

  • Effective leaders must apply discernment and practical wisdom in making ethical decisions using research-based best practices that are in the interest of all stakeholders and promote human flourishing and student learning within the school community. Explain how your strengths influence your leadership style. Describe three ways you can demonstrate tenets of the Christian worldview perspective and capitalize on the strengths you have identified to further develop and articulate these skills, values, and priorities as part of your upcoming internship experiences.

  • Consider Matthew 20:26, “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant…,” and discuss specific servant leadership characteristics and character virtues you would like to practice and improve upon. Explain how you think focusing on these characteristics and virtues will make you better able to prioritize character education with key stakeholders to promote and support human flourishing within the school community.

  • Consider the PSEL and NELP standards and describe three specific SMART goals you have for improving on identified challenges related to these areas. Include a discussion about how working to achieve these goals will help you advocate for and model virtuous actions that demonstrate respect for the diversity of others in the pursuit of the common good.
