Scenario

You are a Senior HR Director of a large, non-unionized company that provides healthcare, retail, and pharmaceutical services (e.g. CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, and the like). The organization is currently going through a challenging time of high turnover, poor bench strength, and difficulty attracting talented applicants, which may be causing the company’s poor performance. Several store managers suggested a lack of formal onboarding, training, and development programs are the primary causes of these issues. However, a few members of the Executive Team questioned if the time and money necessary for these programs will achieve the desired return on investment. Your manager, the CEO, requested that you conduct research on the benefits of an employee training/development program and present your findings to the Executive Team. To acknowledge the concerns of time and money, your manager believes the company should move to an online training and development program.

Directions

For this project, you will conduct research, complete an analysis, and summarize your recommendations for an e-training (online) employee training and development program in an approximately a 750-word report. You will also create a brief video presenting your findings.
