Final project part 1 on hypothesis

The selected Film is “Our Planet: From Deserts to Grasslands

The biome represented

Grasslands and Deserts

Hypothesis

The deserts and grasslands are marked with extreme environmental conditions. There are conditions like elevated temperatures and low access to water. These issues have a higher possibility of affecting the dispersion patterns of the animals within the biome. I hypothesize that the animals living in this biome have a Clumped dispersion pattern. The reason is an uneven distribution of water and food in the living area. This makes the animals only crumble in the area where there is an abundance of these resources. For example, herbivore animals will live in areas with water points and greener grass. This will provide them with food while reducing the possibility of being attacked by predators. Desert animals converge near shaded areas to minimize exposure to heat while the resources are clustered together. This hostile environment leads animals in this biome to group instead of adopting random spatial arrangements.
