Training & Development - Human Resource Assignment is attached Assignment sheet 1 - attached Assignment sheet 2 - attached Spreadsheet - attached
You will submit your Excel worksheet with employee data entered and formatted. You will also perform a formula and create a clustered bar chart.
To begin, open the “Employee Records” file in Blackboard. This is the same file you used previously to create your column headings. This file includes 15 employee records and is in compliance with FLSA standards.
Enter the 15 employee records into the Excel worksheet. Arrange the data using your existing column headings.
When entering the employee records in Excel, ensure that you are formatting the cells so that all data is visible (and not cut off). Name the sheet “Employee Records.”
After entering all of the data, you will perform a formula by subtracting the Deductions (column T) from the Weekly Straight-Time Earnings (column R) to determine their Wages Paid by Pay Period (column X). Directions for formula:
Place your cursor in cell X2 (the top row of the column called Wages Paid by Pay Period).
Type the equal sign (=).
Click in cell R2 (the top row of the column called Weekly Straight-Time Earnings).
Type the minus sign (-).
Click in cell T2 (the top row of the column called Deductions).
Hit the Enter key.
Place your cursor back in cell X2, click and drag the fill handle (found in the bottom-right corner of the cell) all the way down to cell X16.
Once the data has been entered, you will create a clustered bar chart (graph) that compares the hourly employees and salaried employees.
Directions for Chart:
Create a new sheet in your Excel workbook. Name the sheet “Wages.”
Copy data from Columns O (Hourly/Salary), K (Job Title), and X (Wages Paid by Pay Period), in that order, to the new sheet. Column headings should appear in the following order, with the corresponding data underneath.
| Hourly/Salary | Job Title | Wages Paid by Pay Period |
Click the Recommended Charts button.
In the Insert Chart dialog box, select the Clustered Bar chart.
