Our work over the semester will culminate in the design of a needs and capacity assessment plan that you will create. This can be done as a group or individually depending on class size and student preferences, to be decided early in the semester.
Working individually or collaboratively:
a. Select one of the communities on which you created a map (community is ozone park NewYork)
b. Create a written plan in the format of a 7-page paper to assess the needs and capacities of your selected defined community
c. Detail the kinds of data you will rely upon, whether the data collection will be primary or secondary, and how all types of data will be collected and accessed.
d. Use at least 6 peer-reviewed professional sources to justify your recommendations
e. Identify how the project incorporates the input and engagement of the community
f. Follow all applicable guidelines for submitting written work and the American Psychological Association Style Manual.
The entire group project is worth 300 points, your final paper (150) , and your self – reflection (50 points.
