Assignment 2: Propaganda

Edward Bernays viewed public relations as “propaganda.” Propaganda, defined by Edward Bernays, is “the conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses.” Further he said “propaganda is the science of creating circumstances, mounting events that are calculated to stand out as newsworthy, yet at the same time they do not appear to be staged.”

In the space below, come up with four ideas that fit Bernays’ description of propaganda. These can be current campaigns/products, things of the past, or your own (original) ideas.
