Observation essay about In N out burgers.

Observation (Writing Project 3)

We are all observers of countless activities, events, and relationships every single day. When they become familiar, we sometimes forget to pay attention to the details. For this paper, observe a place, activity, or event and share your detailed observations through your words. Use them to paint us a picture. If you are observing an NBA basketball game, what does it sound like? If you are in a garden, what does it smell like? What does your favorite beach taste like? Use your five senses, then extend them metaphorically to share your observations. You must actually observe your subject during the writing of this paper. Do you have a family member or friend with a new baby, or even a puppy, or kitten? If so, can you, literally, every day, notice changes as the baby grows and develops? How is English used as a lingua franca (common language) among international students? How does living in a dorm build relationships between strangers? What do shopping malls reflect about culture? How do the types of restaurants we eat at affect our body size? How does someone falling in love act? Is your observation affected by whether you are a participant or a non-participant observer? This is not an evaluation, rather you should use your description to create an impression that leads us to agree with your presentation of your topic.

This paper should be 3-4 pages long. You are not required to use any outside sources, but, if you do, you must cite them appropriately in MLA or APA style (if you need help with this, see me during office hours).
