Impacts of individual’s motivation and behavior

Introduction

Islam community is the world’s second largest religion after Christianity. It consists of approximately 1.5 billion believers, and it mostly dominates the religious landscape of the Middle East, North Africa and the large parts of Asia. Moreover, Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population with about 13% of the total Muslims worldwide. The Muslims owns more significant number in Africa with especially in the North and West. They are approximated to be 87-90 percent to be Sunni, and 10-13 percent is Shi’a and the remaining percentage being shared by other small sects (Othman, 2017).

The Muslims are divided in poverty and wealth as the rich ones tend to recognize the poor much. It shows some elements of discrimination amongst the people in the community as some schools can be attended by selected few from the affluent families. Education levels also divide the community as the illiterate once more, so women are looked down upon and engaged into early marriage(Yadav& Prakash, 2017).

The Muslim community has a right relation with the non-members based on the values and concepts underlying the relationship which includes, faith in the one universal God hence, having this in mind reminds the Muslims of the existence of only one creator of all humankind, therefore, the need for the right relation. The value of unity and global relations core teachings of all prophets without discrimination enables them to understand the importance of brotherhood as the prophets come from different generations (Yadav& Prakash, 2017).

Muslims are also taught of the need for universal Human dignity which reminds them always to respect and honor every person despite the difference in religion. Universal human dignity is described by how Allah created the people as stated in the Qur’an. As the Muslims read through the Qur’an, they find the needs to relate well with the non-member. Muslims are also taught of the universal human brotherhood which addresses the entire human race and as the Qur’an puts it. The Muslims are also expected to accept the need for plurality in the human societies. Therefore, Muslims are to accept that it was not the will of God to make all the people believers of the community and so they should accept non-believers.

Muslims cultural groups still have traditional remedies to maintain health as well as different ways to cure some illness before turning to modern medicines regardless of their occupations or education levels. Some take these traditional ways as being baseless and suspicious since there is a clash between the guidance on the traditional healing and the modern scientific inquiry that increases the healthcare disparity. The differences cause shame especially for the kids who are made to understand that their constructive ways are not respected anymore. The behaviors are represented by the individual members as they still follow the old modes of medication that might not bring a positive outcome instead of facing the new ways (Ahmed & Doukas, 2016).

Westerners view Islamic society as backward looking, oppressed by religion and inhumanly governed when compared to their own enlightened, secular democracies. However, the Muslims believe that their values are better since it does not accept the idea of sex before marriage or the issue of homosexuality. Muslims also appreciate women, unlike the Westerns who started evaluating women in the twentieth century (Ahmed & Doukas, 2016).

In the concept of sacred, the Muslims believe that they are more sacred since the westerns civilization has become more secular and of new abodes of the holy. The westerners have recognized the artists to be more sacred to them than religion (Yadav& Prakash, 2017)

The information about the Quran was unavailable though it was required The unavailability of the information about the Quran was due to the belief that it was a sacred book that is only used by the members of the Muslim community for guidance hence must be kept secretive. Getting the information about the Quran would enable one to determine whether the Muslims are following the writings as stated in the book (Yadav& Prakash, 2017). It will also help in knowing if the information given by the people is the holy book. Quran would also work as a reference point for the information provided from the research by the respondents.

Conclusion

The Muslim community is a community that accepts both the members and the none-members following the teaching they received from the Qurans. The Muslims also have ethics and values that govern then and even direct them.
