Conduct research and compare and contrast a minimum of three (3) variable or incentive pay programs (excluding base salary, retirement programs and standard bonuses) of at least two (2) organizations. (THIS PART HAS BEEN COMPLETED ALREADY CHECK BELOW page 2)


WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

1.After researching the two organizations (with their incentive programs) Write a short (3 – 5) page well written (including good grammar and sentence structure) report

2.prepare a twenty (20) (minute oral presentation of their findings. You must prepare a PowerPoint slides with add notes which will be what I will be presenting for each slide (10 slides 2 minutes each would be a good example

The report and presentation should identify and describe:

1) the specific company and general industry(s);

2) the Pay for Performance reward practices or programs;

3) why they were introduced, if available;

4) how long they have been in effect;

5) how effective they have been both from an employee and employer perspective. To illustrate your research, appropriate graphs and/or tables should be included in your presentation.




The two chosen companies selected are technology oriented business entities. The companies selected include Webster Electric and Kineticsware. Both of these firms are located in the United States. Webster Electric, for instance, is mostly involved in the installation of wiring equipment that requires lots of finesse and dexterity. On the other hand, Kineticsware deals with the creation of software that facilitates ease of conducting business activities.

Differences in the incentive plans

  1. Webster Electric has an equity plan for all its full-time employees and is solely based on the performance of its employees as compared to, unlike Kinetics ware.

  2. Kineticsware does not have a cash profit sharing incentive as compared to Webster electric.

  3. Kineticsware basis has improved on its variable/incentive compensation stratagems as it rewards creativity that is efficient as well as demonstrates the capability of increasing revenues. Webster Electric only promotes compensation for individuals who have advanced their skills in their respective fields.

  4. In as much as both promote gain sharing, Kineticsware will only compensate based on individual merit and as such those employees who have proven to be creative in the application of their methods. On the other hand, Webster Electric variable compensation program is based on a small group incentive excellence as compared to individual output.
