Practice Introduction

People change the more they grow up, and either to the better or worse. According to Deborah Tannen’s article “With Age Comes Clearer Connection” she talks about her personal experience with her dad when she was growing up. She begins with how desperate she is to hear her dads voice and talking to him on the phone, to explaining how the short talks went as she was still growing up. Now as an adult, Tannen does comprehend why she had short talks with her dad, and why he did not reply to her letters, but after her father retired, she is now drowned with his lovely and wry wit iconic humor letters and e-mails. in relation to this, I recall a movie I recently watched, called logan. The father was so busy to even make sure who a strange girl was, but then he realizes that she is his daughter and the connection between them changes from being foggy to clearer the further in time the story goes. Logan as a father, and almost any father would, sacrifice his time and life for his daughter’s pleasure, and happiness, which is the same thing to what Deborah Tannen experienced.
