Character A: The cat: First person
It is a difficult situation to be a cat; I cannot change anything, however. I receive all tricks from the mouse. Within a minute the mouse is under the table, and within the next minute, it is at the roof top. The cat and mouse game has been very unfair to me. Every time I have to groan over a hungry stomach and that in particular time when the mouse is at its hiding place. It only becomes a celebration to me when I find the mouse trapped and I hence find food without any struggle. Such a case is, however, rare since the Mice are very careful not to get caught. When man and mice are away, it becomes a long day for me. I starve all day waiting for my master to come and feed me. When the hunger is too much, I go against my master's will and climb in the cupboard to find what is edible. Most of the time I consume what I love best which is milk. However, I face the bitter consequences of being kicked out when my master comes back due to my unruly behavior. I however never regret being kicked out as far as I do not sleep hungry.
Character B: The Teacher: Third person
The cat complained that it was a tough task being a cat since she received many tricks from the mouse. The mouse was never in one place, it could be at the roof top in a minute, and the next time it could be under the table. It complained that the cat and the mouse game was very unfair. The cat said it suffers when the mouse is nowhere to be found.it is only lucky when the mice are trapped by its master who in this case is the human being. When its master is away, it feeds by sneaking into the cupboard and stealing milk. Milk is the cat’s favorite meal. There are consequences however for taking the milk. It ends up sleeping outside in the cold as a punishment. The cat is a stubborn animal which is never apologetic. It never regrets sleeping outside as long as it sleeps with its stomach full.
After analysis, I have realized that the point of view which uses the first person point of view is the best.it is very powerful since one can almost imagine the feelings in the narrator. It is easy to read the character’s mind (Perkins, 2010).
