It is evident that depression and anxiety are significant mental health issues that affect millions of people. Numerous people feel depressed and anxious most times. For instance, losing someone you love leaves one sad, scared, lonely, or even anxious and nervous. The said case is not the only example; other instances include being fired from one’s job and getting a divorce among other situations that present hardships to someone. Nevertheless, having these feelings does not mean that one is abnormal; on the contrary, it is just a normal reaction to stress. On the other hand, some people feel this way daily for no simple reason, and this makes them face hardships in carrying on with their normal daily functions. Therefore, these people have either depression or an anxiety disorder that must be treated; otherwise, it gets worse, and that becomes problematic. However, it does not mean that even the worst conditions cannot be treated; on the contrary, they can be treated, and a person can get better. It is very common to find someone who is suffering from one type of depression who also suffers from anxiety. On the other hand, the same can easily occur; someone suffering from anxiety can have depression. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to evaluate depression and anxiety treatments their effectiveness and ineffectiveness. There is no argument present, and the purpose of this paper is not to evaluate, but to argue for a logical and researchable issue.

Numerous ways of dealing with depression and anxiety exist. Some are medical methods while others are self-methods that one can use to deal with either mental disorder on their own. Self-methods of dealing with depression and anxiety pertain finding the best way to cope with them and finding ways to overcome them finally. One needs to ensure that they socialize with their friends and family to make sure that they do not stay isolated and withdrawn as this accelerates depression and anxiety. The second step pertains doing things that makes one feel good about themselves. The importance of this is that the person will ultimately become relaxed and completely energized, which means that they will not be focused on the issues disturbing them and therefore, at such times, they will feel free from anxiety and depression and therefore, overcome them. Besides, the other pertains to having vigorous movements during the day, which will keep one from being depressed or anxious, and by the end of the day, one will sleep for long because of being tired from the vigorous activities that one has done during the day. The rest include eating a healthy diet and getting sunlight doses as well as challenging the negative thoughts that may come to one’s mind. These are solutions to a problem and not reasons in support of an argument.

In addit ion,, the medical treatments for depression and anxiety that exist today are ineffective, and therefore, there is a neede for developingnnew ones to ensure that those suffering from depression and anxiety are helped. It is evident that medicines such as anti-depressants are ineffective in reducing or relieving one from depression. Therefore, the medical fraternity needs to find other effective ways of dealing with depression and anxiety considering that many people in the United States and the world are suffering from depression and anxiety and have been dealing with it for a very long time . The aim of this pertains that patients will be relieved of their mental health issues and therefore, they will find the relief that they have not had in a long time.t There is a need to reevaluate the therapeutic approach to relieving depression and anxiety, as the medical treatments that exist today are ineffective.
