8) Convey the significance of your position on the issue to your audience. Remember these points about essay structure: 1) Use a prewriting strategy to generate ideas. 2) Choose three to six points to develop into paragraphs. 3) Capture your audience’s attention at the start of your essay. 4) Create a thesis that includes your points at the end of your introduction. 5) Create topic sentences to begin each body paragraph, and be sure they relate back to the thesis. 6) Include evidence and details that support your points. 7) Use transitions to connect your ideas and paragrap hs. 8) Restate your thesis in different words in your conclusion. 9) Tell your reader what you learned , why this issue is important, or how the reader can help .
