First of all managers must think of the challenges that may occur when transitioning into Electronic Health Records system. Problems may emerge with the staff, the IT system not working the way it should. Certain staff in the organization may be opposed changes where others may not have any problem accepting it. Managers should plan accordingly, to organize the team to have the proper training needed to be able to use the electronic health record system. Management's Role in Technology offers advanced technology in health care. Reducing costs and making services available to rural parts of the country. A manager’s role in is to support the health care organization with quality initiatives to function and run effectively. Management helps not only to lead, but introduce changes and updates.

Since the technology is so new all the risks are unknown. However, it is has been proven the benefits of telemedicine are worth the risks. Management in any organization is vitally important to the success of any company or organization, and must have vision and courage to move forward. Create the plans and calculate the risks involved. An effective manager strategy must be in place to help the organization have a smooth transition during the implementation of the EHR system. Furthermore, when implementing the EHR the manager must assigned appropriate responsible team that can be capable of learning the new system and training the other staff members.

There are five things that can help the manager have a smooth transition, leadership language and vision, connection and trust, incentives, and planning, implementing and iterating (Wager, Lee, & Glaser, 2013). Also, there some steps managers should focus on which are delegating and appointing project managers, oversee the project at all times, keep communication with the team and provide resources to help speed the process.

When selecting an acquisition process of the IT system, they need to make sure it gets managed successfully to meet the organizations objective. Electronic Health Records for a health care company is fundamental to be able to provide best quality care, and excellent outcomes for patient care. . The implementation committee would need to organize and appoint a project system. The team needs to determine the project scope and expectations of the new system. This step in the implementation process which is critical to an organization’s common strategic goal plan because it will ensures the administration’s commitment to the project. Also, objectives and goals after issues have been established will need to be resolved before advancing to the next steps. When issues have been identified, the team is required to address the organizations with the findings and come up with a plan to adjust the issue to proceed and conclude with the project.

Electronic Health Records do improve the health services by having more communication and better quality outcomes. The development of software programs has continuously made sudden advances in health facilities. Countless medical establishments have employed computer programs for managerial purposes such as billing and payroll and now EHRs filing. The EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems have the possibility to convert the medical system from an industry of using paper to a business that utilizes data and clinical information to aid providers in offering good care of high quality to their clients. Nevertheless, in progress toward EHRs for individuals, there are procedures to be implemented into the process, security maintained at the highest level, and obstacles that need to be addressed. With EHRs, providers have more complete patient information and they improves providers ability to make informed treatments decisions quickly and safety.
