4 pages of what I learned in my internship

Case Study

Social media dilemma

I’ve used social media for various reasons and in various ways, and regardless of the method I often feel like a fake. I feel fake when I try to promote my work, and I feel fake when I attempt to prove how awesome my life is or the product I’m promoting is. In the internship, sticking to the writing the posts may not give the desired results; I want to make and present honest work for honest reasons. That’s why I often delete some of the posts I do on my Company’s social media accounts: because they come from the wrong place. Who am I trying to impress? Are my posts boring? Am I hungry for attention? Am I going for likes, or am I sharing honest thoughts and images? Do I have good reasons for my communications? The creative idea must be working from the start to the end in order to achieve the desired audience.

Making connections

The most overwhelming challenge is to connect with the audience since different targets reason differently regarding the company profile. This can be very intimidating especially working as in internship. It is the bridge between an internship and an experienced career if achieved. Impressing the audience as well as arousing their interest towards the company’s product proves much difficulty. Networking in the social media is even harder when trying to promote a product and may seem dull at first.
