Case Resolution

The case at hand is the aspect of marketing and advertising a Nutrient Body Sculpt Product that help someone to tighten, tone rest and relax the body. As an Intern, one of my tasks is to use social media platform such as Twitter and Instagram to post picture and information about the product at hand. However, I had internal feelings of fakeness because of the positive posts that I upload via my company’s social media platform about a product that I have never used. Last week I have tried the product, and I felt good because of the belief I have towards the nature and impact of using micronutrients to my body even though I did not lose any weight but the product’s mission is not to help you lose weight but to relax and tighten your body which it did.

The usage of my company’s social media platform has never been friendly to me at all because I felt fake when using it. I have never had the chance to feel that I was doing well through the aspect of using both twitter and Instagram. The above factors influences and encouraged me to actually post reviews and posts about the product and feel good about my self.

I should stick to the right posts to acquire the desired results. I also need to be honest to enable me to acquire attention from the users. The most significant factor in the communication and advertisement of the product is to connect with the target audience. I work as intern position for Nutrient Body Sculpt that manufactures this product. My communication with the target audience via the social media platforms should be positive when it comes to the profile of the company. However, I am intimidated whenever I make mistakes because it may negatively affect my internship, which may also influence a poor career. The above factor leaves me with a dilemma of meeting the needs of the audience while at the same time arousing several interests towards the products of the company. The aspect of networking in social media becomes harder when one tries to promote a product to the market.


Resolution of the Case Using Theory X and Theory Y

Theory X and Theory Y focus on the aspect of great satisfaction from the professional environment and enabling the motivation to come up with the best job. It may influence individuals to look at the aspect of work from another angle as compared to the normal boring. The theory influences me to know the prioritized activities in my professional environment. I can know what I am supposed to do and what is wrong for me to commit my energy to in the workplace. Theory X enables me to know about the important role of the managers and how they look at my work as an intern. If I do not make my supervisor proud of my social media efforts, I may not be able to acquire a good professional ground for my work. I know that good work would enable me to acquire a promotion, and poor performance may influence me to lose my job.

The theory influences me to interact with my managers to let them know that I am highly effective in for their social media accounts. I also need to communicate with them concerning the different roles and responsibilities in the organization and how it affects the market.
