Topics

  1. More and more education occurs outside the classroom space, or alternatively the classroom space is being redefined. Use two of the above texts to analyze how education is different than it was decades previous. How has technology changed and in turn changed learning? Is technology making education easier? Is technology making learning more difficult? What skills do learners need today that they did not have to possess previously? Use specific examples from the text to support your analysis.

  2. Literacy is a word that is constantly evolving. In a larger sense, literacy refers to the ability to read and write; however within different educational environments, literacy could mean something more precise than this. Use two of the above texts to argue for different definitions of literacy in education today. How are these definitions of literacy useful beyond educational confines (for example in our workplace, when we interact socially with friends online, etc.)?

Good Luck!
