DEMOGRAPHICS AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Different population groups will be used to support the mission of starting the youth program. In our case, diverse communities will be helpful in this mission. Here are those communities, namely: Blacks (40.85%) and Whites, that are, 40.85% and 50.22% respectively of the total population. Thus, having many people, it is obvious that there is the possibility of many children that are the reading level. According to the statistics in Beaufort, South Carolina, there are estimated 3,335 children who are at the reading and therefore, they need the support to be able to read. The purpose of the community organization will be helping the children that are in the reading level who are unable to read such that they will be capable of reading with the support of the tutors. To facilitate this mission, some individuals will contribute to meet its objectives, namely: parents (source of funds to pay for the program and tutors (labor). Parents role will be all about their willingness to take their children to be taught while tutors will be mandated to teach children how to read.

If there is a less number of population groups that are supporting this program, it will ultimately be hard for it to be successful since it requires support from both the parents and tutors. Also, having many people who have the children at the reading level, this program will be helpful since it is evident there will be the availability of children, if many children are enrolled in this program it will ultimately be successful else it will not. Furthermore, availability of tutors or labor is a resource that should be highly considered since it is all about helping struggling children to read, and if it happens that tutors to help them lacks, then it means that the mission will be unsuccessful.

The critical resources for this program are funds, labor, and children. Regarding priorities, these vital resources can be arranged based on their effectiveness. The least effective is funds since people can volunteer to run the youth program. The most effective resource is labor since even if children are willing to be taught how to lead and there is no labor or tutors to teach them, then it means no change will be felt since they will be unable to know how to read at the end of the program. Having analyzed all community resources that will be required to support the mission of the community organization, these resources can be listed based on their effectiveness, that is, the least and most effective. After analysis, the fund is the most efficient and critical resources that should be available to ensure all operations of the community goes well and successfully. Adequate funds must be available to make sure there are effective operations and processes
