Pursing a degree in accounting, I researched what the salary indicators are for a first year accountant. The website chosen for salary references are to me reliable due to the ranges showed and the source data. The site is a job board and offer a range of data choices including pie charts for various levels of the career field of accounting. The information is somewhat consistent with my career goal, showing a 4 year degree making 30k and up to start (Salary, 2013).


Part II: Library Search for an Article from a Professional Journal

The journal Abacus looks to be very interesting and the particular article summary I have read is about technology usage in business and accounting. Specifically about historical archiving (Cobbin, P., Dean, G., Esslemont, C., Ferguson, P., Keneley, M., Potter, B., & West, B. , 2013).
