Herzliah’s Sec. 1 Jewish History teacher has taken a leave of absence and the school’s administration is desperately looking for a substitute. In a stroke of genius, the principal realized that the Sec. 4 Tanach students are familiar with the subject matter. By השגחה פרטית (Divine Providence), the next chapter the Sec. 1 students are about to learn is the historical episode of פילוג ממלכת ישראל (Division of the Kingdom of Israel).

With the help of one partner or by yourself, prepare a slide show presentation of the entire פרק י’’ב. 

-Use the תנ’’ך material provided to you below.

-Include and quote the author of at least 10 additional commentary insights from the footnotes. The commentaries should be ones that help the students better understand the narrative.

-Quote relevant parts of פסוקים (in Hebrew) and use Hebrew names, places and terms.

Be creative. Include a front (cover) page. Use pictures, colors, fonts to make the slideshow more attractive and exciting for your students.

(The number of slides is your choice, but each slide should not have too much or too little information.)

You have one week to prepare for your class! DUE: WEDNESDAY, JAN. 18 BEFORE 9PM.

18 points: Complete and thorough display of the material, including good use of commentaries. Good spacing (thoroughness)

4 points: Adequate use of פסוק quotes and use of Hebrew.

3 points:  Good creativity by use of pictures, colors, etc.

TOTAL: 25 POINTS
