"A Culinary Wasteland" by Cynthia Crossen

The purveyors and aficionados of fast food may not have convinced Mr. Schlosser that it isn't poisonous dreck, but it would have been interesting to hear their best case and the author's rebuttal. As it is, his refusal to allow the other side even a few words in self-defense makes the book seem a bit childish.
