Rough drafts must be submitted no later than 11:59PM on Monday, April 15th. Late rough drafts will not be accepted.
As a reminder, the research report is due on Monday, April 22nd at 11:59PM. Papers received after that time will receive a 10-point penalty for every business day they are late. For example, any paper received on Tuesday, April 23rd will receive a 10-point penalty; any paper received on Wednesday, April 24th will receive a 20-point penalty, and so on. However, Monday, April 29th is the last day that papers will be accepted. Papers turned in after this date will not be graded and will receive a grade of 0. Students must turn in both a hard copy and submit the paper on Blackboard. All papers will checked for academic integrity using SafeAssign.
DO pick a relatively narrow topic (such as green marketing, neuromarketing, dynamic pricing, etc). DON'T pick a broad topic (such as the 4 Ps, the marketing research process, or the consumer behavior process).
DO take care to transition from section to section of your paper.
DO use citations appropriately.
DO visit the writing center or have a trusted friend or family member read the paper for readability, spelling, and grammar use.
DON’T rely too heavily on the textbook as a resource (you should VERY RARELY need to use it).
DO be aware of plagiarism and take care to prevent it.
DO pay attention to the “flow” of the paper-- it should flow logically and “pull” the reader through the paper.
DON’T use personal pronouns. (Again, there are VERY RARE occasions where this is acceptable.)
DO use headings appropriately.
DON’T overuse direct quotations. Only use a direct quotation when it cannot be paraphrased.
