In a post of at least 300 words, identify the topic you wish to research.  This should, of course, be a topic relevant to Gilgamesh and/or The Odyssey.  We've discussed in class a number of themes and issues that you may pursue in your research.  You can also look at aspects the texts that we may not have addressed.  Follow your natural curiosity!  As you consider your topic, conduct some initial research to find ideas helpful to you in approaching your subject and determining the argument that you think you would like to make. Can your research support your ideas?Document three-four sources that are relevant to your topic (This should be formatted as a Works Cited page.

Finally, you should offer two or three thesis statements that are relevant to the topic you are addressing.  You should make these statements as strong as possible. Commit to a point of view! Remember that you can revise this as you better inform yourself through continuing research, but begin with a statement strong enough to give you direction.
