Hello Tutor,
I am learning how to compute basic statistics (mean, standard deviation...etc.) for a vector of numbers on R studio program right now for a statistical bioinformatics course and need help with learning the basics behind how to use it.
I have attached two data sets. Feel free to play with those or make your own.
Here are the steps that need to show what to do:
Step 1- Create a vector in R and store ten integers (make some up!)
Step 2- Call the appropriate functions in R to calculate the following:
2a. Mean of the number
2b. Median
2c. Standard deviation
2d. Variance
Step 3- Next create another vector and store another set of ten integers (again make some up!)
Step 4- Now compare the two vectors
Step4a. First check which integers in the two vectors are the same (true or false)
Step4b. Then check with integers in vector 1 is less than or equal to vector 2
Step4c. Now check which integers in vector 1 are greater than or equal to vector 2
Step5- In this step you will perform vector arithmetic on the two vectors
Step5a. Add the two vectors and display the result
Step5b. Subtract the two vectors and display the result
Step5c. Now multiply and
Step5d. Divide the two vectors
Step5e. Next subtract from each integer in vector 1, the mean of vector 2!
Please take snap shots (images) and final .Rdata file to show how the steps above were done. Thanks very much for your help and I greatly appreciate it!
