I met this SLO by incorporating multiple writings from Unit 1 and offering a reading of the film A Better Life through the lens of Rios's analysis in "Multiple Manhoods," which involved comparing texts and examples and examining various historical and cultural contexts. You can see this, for instance, in the body of my essay when I make the point that...[insert quote from your essay--in other words, quote yourself making these moves]

2. Analyze and employ logical and structural methods such as inductive and deductive reasoning; cause and effect; and ethos, pathos, and logos that are free of formal and informal fallacies in language and thought.

I met this SLO in the body of my essay, particularly when I examine the long-term impacts of family separation, but also when I introduce texts and summarize the authors' cause and effect analysis, as evident, for instance, in my introduction of Rios's work when I write...[insert quote]
