The topic sentence should always give Something to prove in the paragraph. Do not have a position to argue, 10 to merely list are described factual information, losing focus this specific question they are asked

Each topic paragraph should contain 4 components 12 to 15 sentences

·         Topic

·         Relevant specific factual information

·         Interpretive commentary that States how and/or why the factual information supports the thesis

·         Clincher sentence [Ties D entire paragraph directly back to the thesis] Or a transition statement [creates a logical link between paragraphs]

End with a conclusion paragraph that does [4 to 6 Sentences]

·         Synthesizes The topic sentences of each paragraph,

·         Directly answer the question [A reiteration of the thesis statement a different word]
