you can always get a percent of a number by dividing the percentage by 100 times that number. In this case we want 20% of 20, so:

##20%##of ##20 = 20*20/100=400/100=4##

Now we want to find what number that 4 is 50% of. To do that we use the same fraction method as above, but this time we wok backwards to find our x:

##50%## of ##x## is ##4## so ##4=x*50/100##

##4*100=50x##

##400/50=x##

##x=8##
