Here in week 6, we examine "Smart Borders" which promote cargo tracking systems, new inspection technology, and traffic management strategy that all help to ease border congestion. Basically, "Smart Border" agreements use a layered approach in monitoring and inspecting cargo and travelers coming across the border and have better cross border cooperation with our neighbors. Of course, implementing and enforcing "Smart Borders" does come with an added economic impact. Additionally, our discussion will determine what constitutes Intellectual Property theft and examine how Executive Order 13,133 - Unlawful use of the Internet threatens security and affects the economy.
