A new subdivision with a population of 1500 people is to be built. Both the sanitary and storm sewers must be tied in with the existing network 1.5km away. The ground slopes down from the suburb towards the main sewer lines at about 0.5% slope. The peak over land flow for the design storm is 0.8m3/s and the average per capita waste water generation rate is 1000l/day. Both sanitary and sewer pipes are to be made of pvc (n=0.010, CH=150) estimate:

A)     The average, peak, and minimum sanitary sewer loads, accounting for inflow and infiltration.

B)     The diameters of both the sanitary and storm sewer pipes necessary to carry the peak loads for both sewers from the subdivision to the main sewer line. Assuming both pipes follow the ground surface slope.

C)     Check if the sanitary sewer pipe satisfies the minimum velocity criteria for self cleaning

D)     Plot the hgl of the storm sewer using a back analysis assuming that the pressure at the discharge end o the pipe is at the discharge end of the pipe is atmospheric. Ignore minor losses
