appraisal -- due in 7 hours

This week, rather than research or discussion, we'll download and install appraisal software we can use to generate the appraisal report for the course.  Post a message confirming you're set up once you have the software successfully downloaded and installed on your PC (or Mac with Windows or emulation software).

Below is the email containing the details;  this is the most popular appraisal software in use, and this year they've allowed us to give students a full featured version to use for our course work.   There are a number of good training videos to get you started;  the first one is a full walk through of creating a report, (some parts were done with their 'TOTAL 2011' version - a few buttons and features have changed, but it should be very helpful).   I've put two other links to getting started videos below that showing the download process and overview of the software, and the email and web site have additional pdf documents for reference:

Your instructions for getting started with the student-use product are in this e-mail.  Hang on to it.

Most importantly, your a la mode username and password is: Username =  Password = WestValley! This is your login for all of the a la mode products and My Account (www.alamode.com/myaccount (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.), where you can download products, enter support requests and more.

Download instructions:  

  1. Log in to your My Account web page (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site., using your a la mode login at the top of this e-mail.
  2. After logging in, click on My Downloads on the left.
  3. Choose TOTAL.
  4. When asked to “Run” or “Save”, save the file to your desktop so you can find it easily. Once it has been downloaded, click Run to start installing. Then, simply delete the file you downloaded.

You'll need this information when you setup TOTAL. (We recommend you copy and paste the bolded fields, just make sure to remove any extra spaces after pasting. When typing it in, it's not case sensitive and doesn't require hyphens.)
